 AeroView International brings low
cost/high resolution imagery to the
farm with the AgScanner System, an
easy-to-use new tool for improving
yield and cutting cost.
The AgScanner is a remote sensing
system utilizing a small unmanned
aerial vehicle (UAV) to deliver
remote sensing data from the air, providing an
unprecedented ability to monitor
crop conditions routinely and
reliably. AgScanner analyzes images
automatically, identifying small
problems before they grow.
AgScanner Benefits

efficiently monitored during the
entire growing season – more
efficiently and effectively than by
walking the fields, and at lower
cost than other remote sensing
solutions. Plant stress, disease,
insect infestations and other
problems can be detected and
targeted early, before problems
spread. As a result, you can reduce
the quantity of chemicals applied,
saving time and money while reducing
runoff.
How Does AgScanner Work?
The AgScanner is a low cost,
precision remote sensing data
collection & analysis system
optimized for agricultural
applications. Data is collected
using rugged and reliable UAVs that
fly autonomously at low altitude. At
a typical 300’ altitude, the
AgScanner captures sequences
 of
2 acre images in five (5)
wavelengths from the visible through
the near infrared at 1.5”
resolution. Solar
intensity, GPS, & other data are
also collected in flight, enabling
the ground-based software system to
produce precision data sets. The
AgScanner UAVs fly themselves – no
piloting skills are required.
AeroView offers several UAV
platforms. The AgJumper™ is a
hand-launched UAV that doesn’t
require a runway for takeoff and
landing. The Vector P™ requires a
short runway, but extends flight the
range to 4 hours.
Prior to launch, the AgScanner is
pre-programmed using a laptop
computer to fly a raster route over
a field. After the route is
completed, the AgScanner lands
itself. The UAV is plugged into a
laptop computer and data is
downloaded and processed
automatically.
